The 2010 Festival; July 30th to August 2nd is Cancelled.

It is with regret that the organizing committee of the 2010 Sunshine Coast Wooden Boat Festival announces that this year’s festival has been cancelled due to the current economic climate.

Thanks must be given to sponsors, wooden boat entries, donating artist, display/demonstrators, the incredible volunteers and the visiting public. Each of you made the past festivals a memorable success.

The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Units, 12 Halfmoon Bay and 61 Pender Harbour, support this decision to cancel; yet hope that it can be revived in the future should sufficient interest be displayed by all participating parties.

Both Auxiliary Coast Guard Units wish to thank you for your generosity this year in support of their mission, saving lives at sea.  They hope that you will leave the door open for the festival organizers to contact you in the future should the opportunity arise.
